Mivardi Base Camp XL is a large, robust and perfectly stable shelter, refined down to the last detail, yet quick and easy to set up. However, it offers much more than just generous space, doors, and windows. Its core is an exceptionally stable frame with double support poles connected by tension bars that feature solid clips on both ends. These significantly reinforce the structure and reduce flex in the poles. Two of these tension bars are fitted with practical rod holders using Velcro straps. All main frame sections are telescopic and equipped with a reliable system for easy adjustment. The telescopic parts also allow for a compact transport size and ensure fast and comfortable assembly and disassembly of the shelter. In extreme conditions, stability can be further increased by using four guy ropes. The shelter can be easily set up or packed down by a single person. The M-TEC300 outer material with a hexagonal texture and increased mechanical durability features, from the 2026 model year onward, a 10,000 mm water column rating. The rear wall includes a large window with a mosquito net and nylon cover, offering micro-ventilation when using the tension rod at the bottom of the window. The front wall consists of an entrance panel with a large window fitted with a mosquito net, transparent PVC, and a nylon cover. The letterbox-style front panel can be opened from the sides and rolled up in the standard way, or partially unzipped and opened gradually from top to bottom. At the front of the shelter, there is a large canopy with its own fibreglass frame. When unfolded, it is supported by two poles and secured with guy ropes. The canopy can be fully folded down along the front wall of the shelter, without the need for dismantling each time. Its specially designed connection to the main shelter effectively prevents water pooling on the roof even during heavy rain. The side walls of the shelter feature large opening windows with a nylon cover and mosquito net, also offering micro-ventilation. The letterbox-style side panels can likewise be partially opened or completely removed. A unique and innovative feature of the Mivardi Base Camp is the separately available bivvy-connection kit. This consists of two universal side cuffs that can be attached to the Base Camp shelter in place of the removed side panels. These cuffs allow easy connection of almost any bivvy or brolly to the Base Camp shelter. Other separately available accessories include a set of four internal hanging organisers or a heavy-duty groundsheet. The shelter is delivered in a sufficiently large transport bag for easy storage when packed away. This 600D nylon bag is waterproof, washable and extremely durable.
